The third in our series featuring interviews by Marilyn Pittman, who died March 28 at age 73. RIP, Marilyn, and thanks for all you left us.

Judy Grahn’s “Common Woman” poems in the 1960s and ’70s inspired a generation of lesbian feminists. Her 2012 book, “A Simple Revolution: The Making of an Activist Poet,” is part history, part memoir and a brilliant read. In 2014, she was SF Pride’s Lifetime Achievement Grand Marshall. Marilyn profiled Judy in the 1982 NPR-funded series “By A Woman Writ,” and shares some of that in her interview. (First broadcast 2013)
